Biography
Background
My interest has always been in complimentary healing. I qualified in Clinical Aromatherapy and Therapeutic Massage in 1993 at the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy (London). In 2001, I received my diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Landsdowne College of Acupuncture and Complimentary Medicine (Dublin). I've worked in clinics in Dublin for many years and extensively with Carmona Services, John of God; there I worked therapeutically with physically and intellectually challenged people, and also held weekly dance classes there. I've completed Reiki 1 and 2. Currently, I'm in a women's group which incorporates Celtic and Native American traditions, work as a therapist and acupuncturist in Cork and Dublin and, last but not least, am mother of two beautiful children.
Music and dance
I've had a passion for music and dance all my life, it led me to 5 Rhythms and Movement Medicine classes where I could express myself through movement.
I started DJing in different venues and holding dance spaces around Ireland, sharing the joy of dance and music. After attending Movement Medicine classes, I progressed to the training. Occasionally, I still DJ (mostly at drug and alcohol-free nightclubs) where I can let loose my tribal trance music!
Movement Medicine
My experience of Movement Medicine, which began in 2011, changed my life in so many ways. It inspired me so much that over time the natural next step was to train to become a teacher with Susannah and Ya'Acov Darling Khan. I feel blessed to now be holding these classes. The enormous benefits I have experienced from this work have made me passionate about sharing it. My life's work is to offer Movement Medicine dance to the community, something that is easily accessible, where you can learn tools in the dance that can be used at home and in your daily life.

We are all made of the same substance. Same as the sea, soil, the stars. We are all in this together, inextricably bound on our beautiful blue planet spinning through space.
